TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş held an important meeting with Uzbekistan Senate President Narbayeva. This meeting aims to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Kurtulmuş expressed his pleasure in hosting Narbayeva at the TBMM, emphasizing the development of relations between the two countries in all areas. He praised the reform movements in Uzbekistan.

Kurtulmuş highlighted the importance of the Turkic States Organization and the Turkish Parliamentary Assembly (TÜRKPA), inviting Uzbekistan to take a more active role in these platforms.

After the meeting, Kurtulmuş and Narbayeva signed a cooperation protocol between the TBMM and the Uzbekistan Senate. This protocol aims to enhance cooperation between the parliaments.

Kurtulmuş stated that the Turkic world, with a population nearing 300 million, has significant potential to become an important power center. He emphasized that utilizing this potential effectively is a historical responsibility.
