MHP Tokat Deputy Bulut discovered the heroic story of his grandfather, Lieutenant Aziz Bulut. This story is an important legacy passed down through generations in the family.

His grandfather was martyred while defending Çiğdem Tepe against the Greeks during the War of Independence in Afyonkarahisar. Bulut applied to the Ministry of National Defense to investigate the authenticity of this story.

The Ministry of National Defense presented Bulut with his grandfather's martyrdom certificate and photo after 105 years. This certificate became a significant source of pride for the family.

Bulut emphasized the importance of passing down these heroic stories to children. "The greatest legacy he left us was this martyrdom certificate and the Independence Medal," he stated.
