Transfer Claims and Developments in AK Party Circles

Ankara circles are quite active. While the AK Party's grand congress has passed, preparations are underway in CHP to determine the presidential candidate. Calls for early elections are being made, while the AK Party points to the fall of 2026 or 2027.
Journalist Özlem Gürses stated that the AK Party is preparing for deputy transfers from within CHP. It is reported that bilateral meetings have been ongoing for a long time, and persuasion tours are continuing.
In Ankara, AKP, MHP, HÜDAPar, and DSP have a total of 328 deputies. They need 360 deputies to make a decision for early elections. Therefore, it is discussed that some members of the IYI Party may switch to the AK Party.
The most talked-about topic at the AK Party's grand congress was the transfers from the opposition. Some party members express discomfort with the transfer of individuals without a history in the party.
CHP leader Özgür Özel commented on the situation of deputies who switched to the AK Party, stating, "These transfers are not renewal, but a transfer fee." This situation is an important discussion point for the future of the party.
