The investigations into corruption at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality are ongoing. Many individuals, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, have been detained.

The first operation took place on March 19, resulting in the arrest of 97 individuals. A total of 312 people are listed as suspects in the investigation. İmamoğlu was suspended from duty by the Interior Ministry.

In the operations conducted as part of the investigation, IBB Chief Advisor Murat Ongun and other senior executives were also detained. During this process, 73 individuals benefited from the effective remorse provisions.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues its investigations into corruption and terrorism charges against IBB. İmamoğlu's lawyer has also been arrested.
