CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer highlighted the inconsistencies in bagel prices.

In his speech at the Parliament, Gürer stated that the price of bagels varies between 15 lira and 45 lira in different places. This situation negatively affects both farmers and consumers.

Gürer expressed that 22 million tons of wheat were harvested in 2023, and this figure is expected to drop to 19 million 800 thousand tons this year.

He stated, "The farmers who produce wheat are not getting what they deserve. Consumers have to pay three times the price for a bagel at a bakery,".

Gürer called on the authorities to address the price imbalance and ensure the welfare of farmers.
