The hurricane and storm disaster has negatively impacted life in northern Iraq. Heavy rain and snowfall have caused floods in some areas and blocked roads.

In northern Iraq, 8 shepherds are missing and 7 climbers are stranded. Authorities have initiated rescue operations. Educational institutions have also been closed due to bad weather conditions.

Meteorology experts have stated that the rain will continue until tomorrow and that Wednesday will be the coldest day. They warned that temperatures in regions like Soran and Choman will drop below zero.

In the Duhok province, a mine exploded during snow removal operations, injuring 2 people. Security measures have been increased.
