Etna Volcano Erupts! Red Code Warning Issued

Europe's most active volcano, Etna, erupted again on Saturday. This eruption is being monitored with a red code warning for aviation.
Flight operations at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport continue normally. Authorities stated that no disruptions are expected in flights if ash fall does not increase.

The Etna volcano had also erupted in previous months. The Toulouse Volcanic Ash Advisory Center issued a red code for aviation due to this eruption.

The lava flow from the volcano is fed by a fissure opened at an altitude of 3,000 meters on August 10. The furthest lava front has reached approximately 2,700 meters in height.
