Europe's most active volcano, Etna, erupted again on Saturday. Scientists issued a "Red Alert for Aviation" due to potential risks for flights.

Despite the highest alert level, flight operations at Catania-Fontanarossa Airport continue normally. It is emphasized that no disruptions in flights are expected if ash fall does not increase.

Etna had also erupted in previous months. The Toulouse Volcanic Ash Advisory Center issued a "red alert" for aviation due to the eruption.

The lava flow from Etna is fed by a fissure opened at an altitude of 3,000 meters on August 10. The leading lava front has reached an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters.
