A strong rain and storm are coming to Istanbul!

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has issued a warning for heavy rain and storms expected to affect the city. Winds are expected to increase today, with occasional storm conditions.

Rainfall of 10 to 30 kilograms per square meter is anticipated. This could lead to pooling on roads and sudden flooding. Citizens are advised to be cautious and to avoid going out unless necessary.

AKOM has announced that temperatures will remain around seasonal norms, with rain expected in Istanbul tomorrow. Partly cloudy weather is anticipated starting Wednesday.

The storm and heavy rain could cause disruptions in transportation, roof collapses, and fallen trees. Therefore, especially in the evening hours, caution is advised.
