The forest fire in Çanakkale's Ayvacık district has been brought under control. The fire spread to surrounding villages due to the wind.

2,000 bales of hay were burned in the fire. Mediha Pesen, a livestock farmer in Tuzla village, described the danger as the flames approached their home.

A team of 32 personnel was dispatched to the fire area. They began damage assessment work regarding animal deaths and the situation of barns and feed.

To extinguish the fire, 4 planes, 6 helicopters, and numerous fire trucks were used. After the fire was brought under control, cooling operations continued.
