Climate change and global warming have become one of the most significant issues today. In Europe, heat waves in the last two months have led to the deaths of 1,180 people.

In Spain, temperatures exceeded 40 degrees between May 16 and July 13, leading to numerous fatalities. The Ministry of Environment reported that the majority of these losses were among individuals over 65 years old.

Experts emphasize that heat waves are directly linked to human-induced climate change. This situation poses fatal consequences, especially for the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.

The ministry announced that this year, 76 red alerts for extreme heat were issued, compared to zero last year. This indicates the severity of the impacts of climate change.

It is clear that more measures need to be taken to combat climate change. Raising public awareness and taking necessary steps is vital in this regard.
