In Istanbul, police teams conducted a major peace operation to ensure public order.

The operation took place in several districts, including Fatih, Kadıköy, and Beyoğlu, where the identities of drivers and passengers were checked, and vehicles were thoroughly searched.

During the operation, a taxi driver was fined for stopping in a prohibited area at Taksim Square. Additionally, various criminal items were seized during searches with police dogs.

The Istanbul Police Department announced that such operations will continue to enhance security. The operation is expected to last until late hours.
