The weather in the Aegean Sea and the Balkans is being closely watched. According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, temperatures are expected to continue rising.

This weekend, temperatures in the Aegean region are expected to range between 35-40 degrees. Particularly, the interior of the Mediterranean will see temperatures above seasonal norms.

In the Balkans, some areas will experience rain showers. Therefore, caution is advised when going outside.

In the Marmara region, winds from the north are expected. A slight coolness will be felt in Istanbul.

Due to the heatwave, it is advised that especially children and the elderly avoid going outside. Caution is necessary for health reasons.
