TBMM Disabled Commission Takes Action in Istanbul and Kocaeli

The TBMM Disabled Commission took action in Istanbul and Kocaeli, holding important meetings. These meetings focused on the participation of disabled individuals in social life and accessibility issues.
Commission Chairman Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu emphasized the importance of examining the issues faced by disabled individuals on-site. Discussions on accessibility, education, and employment highlighted the need to reflect suggestions from the field in the report.

During the Istanbul program, a meeting was held at the Bağcılar Municipality, where issues such as education, employment, and social participation of disabled individuals were discussed. Additionally, a ceremony for distributing electric wheelchairs was conducted.

The meeting in Kocaeli included participants from various provinces. Kasapoğlu stated that this commission represents 86 million people and that they will work on-site to address the issues faced by disabled individuals.

Kasapoğlu emphasized that every obstacle faced by disabled individuals is a test of social justice. The commission's work is not just about preparing a technical report but is a matter of social responsibility and collective conscience.
