In the Aşkarbeyli neighborhood of Iskenderun, explosions at the newly opened Nifa Stone Quarry have turned local lives into a nightmare.

In the last four months, these explosions have shattered windows and caused cracks in homes. Residents have reached out to authorities regarding the damages they have suffered.

57-year-old Mehmet Zont stated that rocks fall on their heads during each explosion, urging the government to intervene.

Hasan Zont summarized the situation by saying, "The fear we experience during explosions affects us more than earthquakes."
